I have to admit that, after the RS500 Worlds last year, I got the cycling bug. I didn't stop sailing, but concentrated on crewing an RS400 at my local club.
The end result has been that I have done very little design work. I have added a second bridle line on the Blaze, so that one is optimised for the Fire sail and one for the Blaze and Halo sails. This seemed a simpler solution than an adjustable bridle.
My Blaze has even been away without me, to the Fire Nationals!
All I can say is that I'll do better - I've already started on some new ideas and in the meantime, the usual tiller fittings, batten protectors and toe-strap adjusters are available, along with deck clips for asymmetric boats. Tiller fittings for other boat types and shroud tell-tale fittings are currently on test - visit again for news updates.

This website was designed with three aims in mind:
Commercialisation
Part of my process for choosing products is to look at the potential market for each product. While I am not able to do proper surveys, I can gauge interest from people at my club or comments at the Dinghy Show. My preferred approach is to patent what is patentable and then look for manufacturers to licence the patents and / or the designs.
Guidance
Having spent the last few years inventing, designing and patenting my ideas, I would be very happy if this website helped to 'de-mystify' the processes. I have reached quite a few dead ends and have tied myself in knots doing things the hard way.

Ego-trip
I have to admit that it makes me feel good to talk about my ideas and show off. It seems a sad admission, but if that was the only outcome of this website then I would be quite happy....
